Justin was supposed to go the the opera with us but instead got to go on his first Boy Scout event. They went to the Northrup- grunman business to work on their engineering merit badge.
He had a great time he was gone all day from 8:00 to 5:00 his poor mommy was very sad and missed him lots I guess I will have to get used to it he will be doing lots and lots more of these activities.
The opera house did a promotional family opera day. This event was put on to familiarize young kids to the opera. we learned lots especially why it is so expensive such as this costume the amount of time and research that goes into the time and period. then the boning of the corset takes about 40 hours and then the petty coat takes another 40 hours and then the rest of the dress and multiple fittings. oh and in this show there are at least forty cast members who where dresses. not to mention then the have a costume change in scene four the has them adding more.
we were able to walk around on stage and behind stage. This is a windmill with a dummy on it. we were able to see how they spin the windmills by hand.
I thought Cody matched the dragon well.
Because Justin couldn't go we stole Genny for the day. we had lots of fun.
