We are studding medieval times and this week we talked about the monks who copied thi bible by had sometimes making 2 or 3 a year when the wrote they decorated the pages. so we made quills and we were going to make ink but I couldn't find Walnuts still in the shell and I wasn't going all over town to find it. So we went to Micheals and bought ink.
you have to cut the feather at an angle and pull out any stuff in it
Since we were at Micheals we also purchased some neat parchment paper.
it was a lot of fun and after they practice the Made a book of days. Cody's book was a book of birthdays and Justin made one of wise sayings such as "Knowledge is Power. They really enjoyed this activity. hopefully next week we will make a modle of a mosque. we are learning about muslims and islam.

ok I guess I want a letter written from the boys and sent this way. That looks like a lot of fun. I would spend way too much money being a homeschool teacher
